Pitchfork.tv - an offset of popular pretentious music-journalism fodder Pitchfork Media - seems to have gone live. They also appear to be streaming loudQUIETloud for a week only - get on it!

Playing a game of catch up now - how about the DVNO video from electro-dance duo Justice? Even if you’re not a fan, it’s gorgeous …

Why? Well, why not?

And so the discovery of new music continues as iTunes voucher met my ever-growing list of bands who have been passionately recommended lately. Luckily, Why? topped that list chronologically, and were the first to exhaust £7.99 from my credit (birthday loot ftw).

Instantly captivating, there is something often comically John Flansburgh-ish (They Might Be Giants) about Johnathan Wolfs vocals, rolling out vulgar poetry over a coarse hip-hop soaked indie-rock bed. A few listens will definitely develop into addition - the acquisition of a back-catalogue purchasing is mere clicks away …

Why? - Song of the Sad Assassin

Why? - Fatalist Palmistry

Why? are playing with Crayonsmith at Andrews Lane Theatre in Dublin on the 26th of April.

Got Muxtape?

It’s the latest internet craze to sweep the nation - Muxtape - a service allowing you to create virtual mixtapes by uploading and rearranging your favorite songs.

Cassettes

I’ve uploading a load of my recent favorites to my personal Muxtape - which is destined to evolve over the coming weeks as I work through some recent purchases. Share yours in the comments!
